If you’ve never been there, Navy Pier has a lot to offer the openminded tourist. Navy Pier has many boats offering different tours and in addition to the tours there is a concert venue and a ferris wheel. It was announced early Friday morning that Navy Pier would be getting a $115 million dollar renovation. The design behind the renovation is that it would give Navy Pier a more park like feel. The money would be coming from public money and the amount to renovate is double the amount that was announced originally. There are many attractions in addition to the ferris wheel and the renovation will make it more open in order for people to sit down and look out over the water without an obstructed view. If you’ve never been to Illinois or Navy Pier, there’s never been a better time than now to visit. It was announced that a construction crew would be breaking ground on a Libertyville Trader Joe’s this week, which was a few weeks later than city officials had  anticipated. The building that is being constructed will be large enough to fit the Trader Joe’s as well as other stores. The strip mall is expected to be finished on time and bring in a wide variety of clientele due to the store’s specialty foods and other commodities. Trader Joe’s is a specialty grocery store but offers healthy choices and alternatives for people looking for better snacks. The store tends to be a little pricey and is likely to turn away some customers just because of their prices on food. The only other Trader Joe’s in Lake County is in Lake Zurich and happens to be 10 miles to the southwest of Libertyville. For some people with certain food allergies, Trader Joe’s is a great place to find great food for people with Celiac disease as well as other allergies because they offer unique and different foods that can’t be found anywhere else. If you’re one of the people suffering from this disease or have a family member who is, Trader Joe’s is a great place to shop. For some though it’s impossible because of the cost of the food.
