Well, it wasn’t that I was unprepared for what happened, but it occurred at a time when I was channeling funds into a couple of new ventures. My daughter went home from law school after calling me up tearfully. She said that she was tired of studying and needed a long break. She was, I realized, under a lot of pressure when she came home.
